Temperature extremes seem to be the new normal. We have not just been experiencing extremely cold winters but also really hot summers. This intense heat can be tough on our dogs, especially on older dogs, furry dogs, and dogs that are outdoors all day long at agility trials. The EQDog Cool Dog Coat is imported from Denmark. It is made out of ACO-DRY® (a self-cooling material) and a durable hex-mesh nylon. Together they create a high-performance cooling fabric.
Once you wet the coat and put it on, it cools down your dog with moisture evaporation. With the new ACO-DRY® fabric technology, the coat keeps your dog cooler for a longer period of time than other cooling apparel on the market.
The EQDog Cool Dog Coat is easy to put on and take off. There is a snap buckle on each side so that you can adjust the girth to fit your dog. The coat also has a zipper along the neck so it can fit dogs with bigger heads and necks. The coat has a streamlined cut and is designed to cover/cool down the most important parts of your dog (around the organs).

How the Coat Fits: The EQDog Cool Dog Coat goes over the dog's head and attaches underneath the dog's belly with two separate buckle straps so that it can accommodate a range of girth sizes. The length of the coat does not have to extend all the way to the base of the dog's tail. I can be shorter than the dog's overall length as you can see in the photo of the red Border Collie.
How to Measure Your Dog: Be sure that your dog is standing squarely, with head up, and is looking straight ahead.
- Back Length: Measure from the base of the dog's neck (the point where the neck joins the body) to the base of his tail (the point where the tail joins the body).
- Girth: Measure the circumference of the dog's chest, just behind his front legs, at its widest point.
