Jumps bumps, also known as "speed bumps" and "stride regulators," were developed by Susan Salo and are used as part of her puppy jumping program and jumping foundation program as well as for problem solving in her more advanced jumping gridwork. But many agility trainers use jump bumps for a wide variety of jumping exercises and drills, and for teaching contact and weave approach striding.

The Clip and Go Agility Jump Bumps are made from lightweight foam and covered with UV-resistant plastic-coated vinyl (PVC), which makes cleaning them a breeze.

They are available in two sizes:

  • Small: 47" long x 4" wide x 2" high; weighs less than 1lb.
  • Large: 47" long x 8.5" wide x 4" high; weighs 2lbs.

Because jump bumps must be shipped in an oversized box, we have created three bundles so that we can maximize use of the box space and offer free shipping. You can choose from the following bundles:

  • 3 Small Jump Bumps
  • 2 Large Jump Bumps
  • 1 Large Jump Bump and 2 Small Jump Bumps

Susan uses both sizes for younger dogs because she wants even the smallest of puppies to understand that some jumping tasks are bigger than others. For the training program in Susan Salo's Puppy Jumping DVD, we recommend that you have a minimum of four small jump bumps and two large jump bumps. You can also do the grids in the Foundation Jumping DVD with your puppy; for this work, we suggest a minimum of six small jump bumps and two large jump bumps.
