QuakeHold! Museum Putty is an excellent option for securing hide vessels, tins, or straws when there is no metal surface to use a magnet. This putty is super strong, nontoxic, and will stick to almost any surface. It's also easily removable, reusable, and does not damage surfaces. 

Pull off the amount needed, roll it in your fingers until it's soft, and then apply to your hide object. Lightly press the object to the surface. Remove the object by twisting and pulling away from where the putty is attached. Comes off clean.

To prevent the putty from hardening after you open it, store in a resealable bag or container with a lid.
